Does Your Fitness Marketing Suck?
Transcript to the Video
What’s up, everybody? Rahz here from FitnessBusinessMastery.com and the author of the One Hour Trainer and host of the One Hour Trainer Summit coming up real soon, here, June 1st and 2nd in New York. But before we get into that, let me ask you this. Does your marketing suck? Because a lot of fit pros who are trying to attract their ideal client, trying to grow their personal training business whether it’s online or off, are missing the boat because their marketing isn’t connecting with their specific audience and allowing that audience to see them as the authority and leader in their area. If you want to fix that, I have three simple tricks that can fix that instantly and get you attracting your ideal prospects and having those prospects sign up for and become your client.
Number one: You got to be more real and you got to be more authentic. So we hear those words all the time and what does it really mean? It means that you can’t be just like everybody else. You want to make sure that your marketing is connected to a specific pain of your ideal prospect and you got to be authentic about it. You got to tell them your story and why you understand their pain and how your solution can actually solve that problem for them.
What do I mean by that? So, for instance, I’m a male. I’m 40 years old and my ideal clients are women who are entering into peri-menopause or menopause. I can’t ideally connect with them specifically, but what I can do is share with them the success that I’ve had with clients in that demographic, tell a realistic story, and show my passion for helping women overcome those challenges and actually come out on the other side with success, liking themselves, having more energy, and understanding that their body is what they truly can create and become. Right? So I do that in my video. I do that in my email. I do that in my sales videos. I do that in my content in my private groups so that I really can connect with that audience and show them that I understand their pain and I can speak the language.
Now, how did I acquire that knowledge? I didn’t just wake up one day and decided that was my niche. I read books. I went to seminars. I hired coaches and more importantly, I wrote my own book. I had my own summit so that I could become the authority on that demographic. That’s what you need to do. You got to put in some work, people. You got to put in that time so that you can be the number one leader in your area.
Match Your Message and Connect
Number two: You got to connect with your unique messaging with the ideal prospect’s biggest pain. So this is crucial. For instance, you know when I say connect, your messaging needs to be like, if you’re targeting women, you can’t be talking about, “Oh. I’m building muscle and I’m so jacked and you want to build and get.” No. They don’t want to hear that. You got to make sure your message and your branding, your feel of your studio, all is connected to them. And then you got to connect that to what pain is keeping them up late at night.
See, my clients, and I have several different demographics that we target, but one being that is the women who are 40 to 50 years old, who are struggling with weight loss, who feel that their metabolism is sabotaged, who feel like they don’t have energy. They’re not themselves anymore. They don’t feel attractive or radiant anymore, vibrant. Right? So this is how in my messaging I make sure to connect those pains and then I give them solutions and then I show my authenticity and expertise through demonstrating why I am the best solution for those pains. Connecting message to prospect’s pain will equal marketing genius.
Publish High Quality Content
Number three: You need to produce and publish high quality content consistently on a daily to weekly schedule. You can’t just, “Oh. You know what? I got an inspiration. I’m gonna throw out a post. I’m gonna do a video.” You must be willing to consistently produce high relevant content.
High relevant content. What do I mean by that? This could be long posts, 500, 700, 800, a thousand word long. This could be videos, five to 15 minutes long. This could mean putting series of videos together, four video courses. You got to put out content that’s going to speak in a relevant way to your ideal prospect and make sure that you’re identifying and educating them on what the pain is, what your solution is, and why you are the only option to help them solve it.
See, when you put these three things together, your marketing is going to be fixed. You’re going to be able to attract your ideal client and, more importantly, you’re going to have drones of new clients in your business because you’re focused on the market, not on just the marketing and throwing out crappy content.
Three things I want you to focus on. One, make sure you be more authentic. Be real. I’m always going to be who I am. I talk fast. I ask you to listen up and that’s the way I connect with you. You guys know my message. Right? You know that I’m a fit pro just like you. I run my businesses. I’m not a guru and I don’t believe in bullshit hype. I keep it real. That’s what I do every day, all day. That’s how I stay authentic. Right?
Number two, you got to connect your message with your market or your prospect and make sure that your language and the way you speak to them is consistent, but more importantly, it’s relevant for their needs and goals. Make sure that’s crucial.
Three, you got to publish and you got to produce. You got to produce more content on a weekly and monthly schedule and you want it to be consistent and you want to make sure that you get it out there and make sure it’s relevant. If you do that and you do it across multiple channels, you’re going to become the leader in your market and you’re going to be marketing to attract your ideal client and you’re going to have a thriving business.
