Let me just share with you guys a little bit about who I am, where I come from, and who’s the person you’re going to be listening to throughout this presentation, because it is going to be key to you understanding that I am right where you’ve been, where you are or where you might want to go. See I’m an author, a speaker and an owner of multiple personal training studios. I’ve been been active in the #FitGame for 20 years and a business owner for 12.
I’m a dedicated husband, a father. More importantly have owned five micro studios all under 1200 square feet, but I’m most proud of the gym owners I’ve helped all over the world grow successful profitable, multiple six figure businesses. I’ve been on the corporate side and then I’ve had the same business partner for 12 years and, we’ve sold over $2 million in personal training just in past few years. See, I want you guys to understand that it isn’t about me. I’ve been on podcasts, I’ve written books, I’ve spoken on stages, but what it is about is that I went on a search to find some of the answers necessary in order to become successful. That search led me through having some breakthroughs, and it led me through having some down times in my life.
More importantly, when I went on this search, I had to find mentors, books, audio tapes, seminars, and then I put it all together through trial and error. I finally figured out exactly what it was going to take in order to have a breakthrough. When I had that breakthrough, I had to leave corporate America and decide, now what? The first time in 2008, it was called Breakthroughs To Fitness. I got out the gate right away, had my first $10,000 month. I was jacked out of my mind! I’m like, “This is going to be easy.” What I found out quickly was I didn’t know how to attract leads. I didn’t know where my next clients were, and more importantly, I began to struggle. I began to struggle with how am I going to train all these clients? How am I going to run the operations? How am I going to do all the admin?
I reached out to a friend of mine, and that’s when we became partners. Greg and I decided that we were going to grow our studios, and we wanted to make an impact in this world and that’s when the results started to happen, but it didn’t happen overnight.
Fast forward, some of the results we’ve had is becoming an Amazon bestseller for The One Hour Trainer, a 90-day road-map to creating a fitness business that you love, that is profitable. We’ve launched five studios as I shared with you, sold millions in personal training, and created the Black Belt Selling Method. We’re also the creators of the strategic coaching program called Kaizen. I bought my dream home, drive my dream car, live my dream life, but it all came down to three specific concepts that I needed to understand to make this happen, and what you’re going to learn if you are willing to read this article to the end and take some serious action.
Million Dollar Message
Number 1 is called MDM, your Million Dollar Message. When we learned what our million dollar message is, it allowed us to truly take our business from amateur status to pro status. The second one you have to understand is having a Core offer that’s designed around your Signature System. The third one is having Perpetual Marketing for content and authority. It is critical to your success. These three concepts will change your business. We call it The OHT Method. The OHT Method is broken down as you can see, it’s stage one of the Impact Marketing Machine, and your million dollar message really comes down to knowing a few key things about yourself. Who you are, what you do, what you stand for, what you stand against and more importantly, how you do what you do in a unique way. See just like Sumair, he had to find his unique message. He was not going to go from 6,000 to $31,000 per month in 12 months if he didn’t understand this OHT method.
I don’t know where you are in your business right now, but Sumair was coachable. That is so important. If you’re reading to this I’m going to assume you are coachable. I want you to know that the point of having your million dollar message is going to give you the ability to really stand out in a noisy, saturated, overly complicated market we call the fitness industry. There are a lot of gyms in every state fight for the attention of your prospect. , We have hundreds of Guru’s who couldn’t hack it running real business so they decided it’s easier to sell coaching. Then you have all the online trainers pulling and clawing for your clients and charging less than you can.
Trainer seekers are actually becoming numb to messaging, because everybody’s saying, “Go to Keto, Eat Paleo, Do the the South Beach Diet it really worked for me.” There’s so much noise. How do you cut it through?
Well, you cut it through by having a CLEAR, CONCISE Million Dollar Message.
See, this is a critical conversation you need to have with yourself, because I had to have this conversation when we were stuck. There was a period of time where we almost crashed and burned, because we did everything everybody told us to do. We hired mentor, we bought courses and we pretty much just bought into the philosophy of copy and paste, copy and paste until that almost took us out of business. We had to sell our souls almost, and then we had to cancel a lot of programs that we were running, and we had to fire our coaches and fire our team.
This was one of the most pinnacle moments in my business. Greg and I had to sit down in our office and decide who it was that we were going to keep, and how we were going to tell our clients that we needed to change our Business Model because it wasn’t working, and how were we going to stay in business?
Now thank God we made the right decisions. We were able to attract the right people in our lives, and we had a angel actually help us get to the next level. See, but I can tell you that most people, our fear of judgment is why you won’t get your message out there. We were the same way, but once we dialed in our message, we no longer feared what people were going to say. We no longer feared the judgment, because we understood that the key to getting what we wanted was going to come through the promise that I want to share with you guys today.
Speaking your truth, telling people exactly who you are, what you stand for and not backing down. Not buying into what everything’s happening in trends. Not copying and pasting, but putting your stake in the ground, drawing the line on the sand and saying, “This is who I am. This is what I believe in. This is what I’m going to do,” and go out there and shout it to the mountaintops.
It is critical. This led to Meta Burn Florida, and that’s what you guys are reading to learn more about specifically. How the OHT model was created, and it wasn’t created specifically for Florida, but how it was actually enhanced because before that, we never had the same limitations and things that we didn’t have at our disposal. When I moved to Florida, almost 19 months ago on July 18, 2018 I had landed in Florida and got of my Jet blue plane excited and nervous. I had no contacts, no clients, no gym, and very little funds to build a new personal training business. What I understood was that if I use The OHT method, I would have the ability to truly build that business from zero to $15,000 in 28 months.

When I started to publishing my content I made sure to add that statement in all my videos, as well as written my posts. Quickly people started to resonate, engage, and reach out to me because we niched down specifically to who it is we could serve.

5 Mastery Principles To The OHT METHOD
I’m going to share with you are going to dive deep into what are the five key mastery principles that we use inside of the OHT method to really drives home these specific outcomes that we have been able to duplicate not only in my own business, but with Kaizen coaching clients all over the world.
I’m excited to be able to share this information with you in this blog post because I know in the right hands it will change a gym owners business in as little as 28 days. So here are the five mastery principles.
Mastery principle number 1, [Self Awareness.] You need to know who you are. Who am I? I am Rahz Slaughter, AKA the motivator. One of the things about me is that I’m inspiring and motivating, and that’s what I do for my clients. What do you do? If you want to be able to get this information out, I want you to ask your client one question.
If you had to describe me, what is one word that you would use to describe me and my personality. I want you to ask at least 10 to 20 people this. If you do so, what you’re going to get back are some key adjectives that are going to give you an indication of what people think you do, and how they see you. See this is critical to your understanding yourself. That clarity and awareness will lead you to some amazing breakthroughs and understanding specifically how you’re going to dial in your million dollar message. This simple exercise will also give you specific words to use in your sales copy and social media posting.
The second mastery principle is [Dream Clients.]
You have to know who your dream clients are. Who do you like to work with? Who can you serve, who can you get results? More importantly, who would you like to have a beer with on a Friday evening at happy hour?
These are some of the questions that I ask myself. The reason that I ask myself these questions, is because I never want to work with a client that I don’t like, that I don’t get along with. If they have extremely different beliefs and character traits that don’t resonate with who I am as a person, that would make working with them miserable. If you got to work with someone who’s miserable, you’re not going to have a business that you enjoy waking up to. You’re not going to enjoy getting up early, staying up late, creating programs and making every experienced world class.
The 3rd Mastery Principle is [Position Statement.]
You should have a position statement, and this position statement is critical to your success. It’s going to give you the ability to go, “Okay, you know what? Here’s who I am and what we do.” So I’ll share with you what our position statement is for Meta Burn Florida.
Meta Burn Florida is recognized as South Florida’s most respectable personal training and nutrition coaching team for women who want to create wildly successful body transformation, without spending hours in the gym or wasting hours running nowhere. When I use that statement in any of my marketing, I consistently make sure that they know this is who I am seeking to work with, and I’m not open to debating this position. I want you to be thinking about the same thing. For example you want to ask yourself, what is it that makes me and my gym different? What is it that makes me special? How can I get these points out in every piece of marketing I publish to my audience?
So a position of statement is something that expresses how a given product or service or brand fills a particular consumers needs in a way that competitors don’t.
What is it that you do?
- What are the benefits that you deliver to your clients to that other gyms do not?
- What are 3 words that describe my gym and the experience my members receive when they come in?
Those are a few questions that a lot of trainers ask me, and I want you to understand the reason that you need one is simple.
3 Reasons To Create A Position =STATEMENT
- You create your own category. It bulletproofs your business so that you don’t have to worry about the gym that opens up next door, the CrossFit that comes up next door, or maybe even one of your trainers leaving and taking 25 to 30% of your clients. When you have a position statement, your clients know who you are and they’re attracted to that because they feel you can solve their pain or desire. They’ve come to you for your unique solution and more importantly, they’re coming to you to be like, “Hey, you’re my leader. Show me the way. I have a problem, how do I get that solution?”
- Brand Clarity based on desire outcome. Your prospect clearly knows what you do, and how your business can help them solve their problem. How you’re different and better. It helps you leave no doubt in the prospects mind about your brand. For example It’s pretty clear IPhone is the number one smartphone used by consumers. Apple is well positioned in the smartphone market.
- Your Business Is Clear and Focused. It makes your marketing laser focused, and it helps your content generation speak directly to you prospect deepest fears, frustrations, and wants. The level of clarity and certainty is felt throughout your business and membership base.
4th Mastery Principle is Polarity. Having polarity install in your growth strategy will help you rise above the marketing noise of your market. I found that when my competitor decide to go North, I’m going South. If everybody’s saying nay, I’m saying the opposite. That’s what polarity In business is all about. It is your goal as a leader and business authority to find way to be polarizing in your marketing, social media, and industry opinions. You can do this in many ways, but my favorite is being Contrarian.
In my fitness business there are specific styles of training that we are against and we shout that shit from the mountain tops. Our market knows we don’t believe in wasting hours on cardio equipment and doing steady state training for fat loss. We don’t believe in using all kinds of shiny objects that have no real functional benefits for the outcome we are training for.
We teach our clients to master body weight movement before loading them with weight. Those are just a few ways we polarize out methods and business. Adapting this mindset is critical to your success and ability to stand out and become know as a authority. You cannot be wishy washy about what you believe and stand for. You have to stand in your position, and make sure that everybody knows this is who you are and what you hold a your bu sines’ truth.
A company that does really well with this strategy is Squatty Potty.
If you want to have a healthy colon and a happy life, Squatty Potty is a great product, because they create a product to fill that need. The image above showcases a sad girl and a happy girl. The message is clear use our product and be like the happy girl when you do your business. This product has really has stood out in the market and the company isn’t afraid to be contrarian and bold in their marketing/ , because it’s really allowed them to be attracted to this product. Squatty Potty was the first to market this solution and instantly became a category of one, and they’re identified as something that’s different to the market. Sure other products have copied them but the consumers know the brand and they’re creative marketing. Find a way to really shake up your local area by being contrarian and bold.
SOLD OUT: Clear and Simple. This is what we do.
You have to be sold out about everything you create and do for your business. One of my favorite books is by Grant Cardone, The 10X Rule. In chapter 13, he talks about having an all in mindset. You must be all in for your market, you must be all in for what you do. You must be all in for your million dollar message, your core offer, and your signature system.
If you’re anything like Roger Bannister, in this picture above, he was sold out about breaking the 4 minute mile way before he actually did it. Before he did it, everybody thought it couldn’t be done and then he did it. Once it was accomplished other believe they could do it too. Building a successful gym starts with you the owner being SOLD OUT…
If you believe in what you do in your business and your model, you’re going to be successful because you’ve got two options at this point. You could either be the Predator or you could be the Prey when it comes to growing your fitness business. You must be the predator.
I choose to be the predator, and when we entered into this Florida project, here’s what we did. We entered fast, we claimed our market share and we took no prisoners. Business is a battlefield and you can not half ass being a gym owner. You are either all in or you will be out FAST.
This is the exact formula I use to launch my Florida Training Studio in less than 30 days.
P + A + S = Authority
The P stands for [PROBLEM]. The A is for [AWARENESS], and the S is for [SOLUTION] This simple formula helps gym owners really dial in specifically how you are going to attract your clients, what type of content you’re going to create for them. This formula take into consideration the buying temperature of your prospect as well.
There are three buying temperatures you must understand if you are going to use this formula in your marketing. Your prospect Is COLD if they have never heard of you and don’t know they even have a real problem. The there MEDIUM, at this level the prospect knows of you and that’s they have a problem. They are not clear what the solution is or how to fix their problem at this level. Then you have HOT. Here is where most gym owners think every prospect is, but it takes time to get a prospect from COLD TO HOT. This is what the OHT Method was designed to do within a very short time period. The market is flooded with gyms trying to attract new members and clients. Everything I’ve shared in the article is created to help you stand out and attract prospects with less stress and more targeted precision.
If you’re marketing efforts have been coming up short, it’s probably because you’re trying to sell to a cold or audience who doesn’t know who you are, or what it is your provide to the market. Your prospect will be ready to buy at the HOT level. Your cost per acquisition is going to be higher if you’re sending a offer to the wrong audience.
ADVERTISING DOESN’T WORK SAYS THE GYM OWNER MARKETING TO THE WRONG SEGMENT OF THE MARKET.

Create you core offer and become sold out to it. Test it, evaluate it, and launch it again. The goal is to optimize your core offer until it’s earning you at least break-even or 2 to 1 ratio. Here is a tip about offer creation, make it emotionally driven. You need to be able to connect the emotional drivers of your prospect to your unique offer. So when I say your emotional driver, it comes down to what is it?
How do they feel when they know they’re going to reach that outcome? What’s going to motivate them? Find out their why and if their why makes them cry, that’s what you need to be able to articulate in that offer as the ultimate outcome. offer creation is more than juts features and benefits. You want to know what the benefits are going to do to transform the prospect life. This will allow for you to talk to your audience specifically in their language and connect with them on a deeper emotional level.
When you connect the emotions with logic, you have a winning formula.
Don’t tell, show. That is a critical statement that you need to understand. Don’t tell, show me. Like in the movie, Show Me the Money, right? You have this character and he’s like, “Show me the money. Show me the money, Tom Cruise.” He didn’t want him to tell him the story about how he’s going to be the best agent. He wanted him to make sure that he could show him the contract. That is so critical in your business. Who have your helped and what were their results. The more client testimonials you have the more your solution is being validated by the market. You can’t have too much social proof on websites, optin pages, and social media pages.

It is critical that you be able to show me what are the steps that I need to take in order to get to the outcome that you’re promising me. This is what you will have in your signature system. Too many people say, “You’re going to come and join my two-week program. My trial.” That is not going to be able to showcase what the results are going to be, and this is why you have trouble upselling and keeping people in your process and creating raving fans. You need to be able to map out a complete process, and I’ll share with you exactly what our 12-week process looks like. We have here the 12-week eliminator nutrition program. We got a four-day detox. We have a two-week elimination process. Then you have 10 weeks of add on meal plans, we’ll give you consistent changes in your diet and we’re tweaking it.
